This week on X...
I have gained a few more followers and followed more accounts! I followed quite a few organizations that share a common goal of wildlife preservation, and some accounts that post baby animal videos that add a cute surprise to my feed every so often.
After looking on the internet for a bit and searching for current animal related news/events, I encountered some intriguing articles that I shared to my page. I read about how human neurons are being transplanted into rat brains, how cats are taking over wildlife in Australia, and what scientists are doing to manage it, and a heartbreaking story about a beached whale who suffered a scull fracture and blunt force injuries -- most likely due to an offshore project, vessel strike, or fishing gear entanglement. I also posted an article about how goats can sense emotion by your voice alone, how smart of them!
This opportunity to create a platform and share ideas with my classmates has been a wonderful outlet for me to learn about current animal issues and help bring awareness to them. I also enjoying looking at what my classmates repost because it shows their interests, helps to educate me further, and brings a smile to my face when I see them post a video of baby animals.
I have loved keeping up with your X posts! I have learned a lot through what you have shared, and similar to Tori, I really enjoyed reading about the human neurons in rats. I'm very interested to see how your interest in wildlife preservation carries into your future research.
I admire your heavy research into human neurons being transplanted into rats, very interesting! How did researchers execute this idea? Awesome blog post!
