My Journey on X

I have been an avid social media user for a few years, but this class has been my first experience on the X platform. I found it tedious at first to scope out researchers and scientists that seemed credible enough to follow, but as I grew my network and my platform, I found that the algorithm connected me to more credible people, and a few names that I had grown familiar with after reading their work in previous assignments.

Below, I have shared a few examples of tweets from my Social Media Campaign. Some successful, some not, but they each taught me how to use the platform in a more effective way -- I touched on what goals each post helped me to meet and/or strengthen. Read below!

My Infographic

     

    This infographic is based off of information sourced from the Humane Society's website. They work to promote safe treatment of animals and protection of animal rights. I used this source for my infographic because I was shocked by some of the statistics. Testing on animals is a lot more prevalent than I thought, and it has made me more aware of what I purchase as a consumer. My goal with this information is that it helps others to be more aware of what they consume and to hopefully change some of their consumer habits.

The Best of my SMC

    The Social Media Campaign's goal was to help us learn how to create a platform for animal advocacy using X. We applied social media engagement methods to learn how our post would most impact our audiences, and created connections with similar platforms to grow the network of animal advocacy on social media.
