This week, I followed three new accounts, browsed three hashtags, and posted three times! Here's a bit about each:
I followed Christoph Voelter (@cvoelter), a comparative & Developmental Psychologist at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology, a colleague of Julia Espinosa, the head researcher on two of the articles I have been looking at this week to prepare for my article researching dog cognition. I also followed the Many Dogs Project (@ManyDogsProject), which is a collection of researchers who work on open science practices in the field of Canine Science through multi-lab studies. I found this project because Christoph Voelter is associated with it! Finally for this week, I followed Madeline Pelgrim (@madelinepelgrim) a PhD Student at Brown University who researches canine cognition.
I looked through #dogcognition, as that is what my research is on, and here I found Christoph Voelter and Julia Espinosa. I was already familiar with Espinosa, so I checked out Voelter's page and gave him a follow. I looked at #smartdogs, and saw videos of a few viral videos of clever dogs, but it was interesting to see some of the research that I have read act in real life. I also looked at #dogstudies, which I found to be most important, and found a few videos of dog developmental studies similar to an article I'm reading on the development of dogs in the first two years of life.
Below you will find one of my tweets from this week, sharing one of the articles that I have been researching. I found this one most interesting and I think it is my most solid tweet. The picture I chose is the best example of the research in pictures.

Finally for this week, I responded to my classmate, Diana Cornejo's blog on her site from April 28, presenting research about how birds can use tools to solve tasks. I thought this was an interesting comparison to the research I have been conducting about dogs. I wonder if dogs would be able to use tools and apply them to a task like birds?
